It was interesting to learn the different teaching methodologies and how each has it pros and cons. In my teaching I have employed the typical presentation, practice and production methodology but it's somewhat inflexible and only really aplicable for lower level students. I like how the ESA method is far more effective and provides greater flexiblity from the straight arrow method to the patchwork method. The different elicitation techniques were helpful some of which I have used in my clases as well as the different ways to engage. I realise how this ESA method greatly increases student talk time and less teacher talk time.
