It is a good approach to see only the present tenses in a detailed way. I learned that present simple is the one we use to state facts and talk about routines and habits and to make future plans. Present continuous is used to refer at actions that are happening in the now or around the now. Present perfect is used to talk about life experiences that are not going on anymore and the present perfect continuous it is used to talk about past things that are still happening.
