I really loved this lesson because it depicted an actual classroom setting and how a lesson plan should be laid out. The videos expressed how much of an impact a good teacher has on lesson comprehension. The videos laid out the importance of attitude towards the students, developing good rapport, explaining things effectively, learning names, and taking the time to make sure concepts are understood. On the contrary, the videos also showed that intimidating students is ineffective, that poor explanation and lack of patience leads to lack of comprehension and lack of trust, and that smiling and encouragement is crucial for students to excel at learning a new language.
