I thought the unit provided a good overview of classroom management. I liked that it dealt with the uniqueness of teaching to students whose first language is not English. Cultural sensitivity is important as well and teachers should make themselves aware of taboos in various cultures. In the US we can pat a child on the head, point, etc without really causing offense but cultural norms vary and are important especially in terms of establishing rapport.
