The course I currently teach pairs reading and writing, listening and speaking. Reflecting on this unit leads me to consider the potential benefits of pairing according to receptive skills. I base this opinion on the overlapping of approaches to both listening and reading: predicting, deducting and seeking out detailed information. This unit also leads me to think back to the previous topics and, therefore, see the course ... or start to view the course as an integrated whole rather than of a series of individual units.
