Despite the subject being a bit banal, I actually found the discussion on evaluations and testing to be really interesting, mainly because I've experienced standardized proficiency testing as a foreign language learner, and never saw it from an ESL point of view. One thing I am interested in mastering as a teacher is finding the balance between "teaching to the test" and teaching full on proficiency. These English tests are high stakes for the test takers so it's important to know details about them.
