This chapter covered teaching receptive skills on reading and listening. It discussed the different types of reasons why we read such as for purpose or entertainment. I've learned that pre teaching a vocabulary that you know will be problematic is very important to get the students confidence up. Also very important to have variety when selecting text or dialogue as you want to cater to everyone's interested.
