In this unit I learned about various components of the English language in terms of grammar. From the basic structuring of English sentences to some more technical terms like “gerund”, I now have a good baseline knowledge base about how to construct proper English sentences and, in turn, how to teach those structures to others. As a second language student of Japanese, I really struggled in our unit about transitive and intransitive Japanese verbs. Now that I have a solid knowledge about it in English, it can help me better study Japanese as well as prepare me to help my own future students studying English.
