I have learned that teachers have many roles and switch between roles often. Some of those roles are my strengths and some I need to practice with. On the learner side, I learned the differences between adult and young learners. For example, Adults tend to be more nervous when starting a new language but made the decision to be there so that shows motivation. Younger learners have shorter attention spans and need different activities to keep them interested. No matter the age, I must keep my students motivated.
