This unit covered different methods of teaching english as a foreign language. I learned about a couple of styles of teaching I had never heard of before such as the silent method and suggestopaedia. I think the ESA method seems like the best method for TEFL and I liked the suggested activities to go with each stage, for example the consequences game was a neat idea. I learned several different ways to structure a class, straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork. I liked how they discussed the difference between mistakes and errors and how to balance correction with praise.
