Knowing not only about grammar,but parts of the speech is essential when teaching a foreign language. Many students always have problems recognizing what a noun is in a sentences, or what is the main verb and the fuction of the axuliries, so as teachers, we should be able to explain these parts of the speech in a simple way, so students can understand it. Some of the students need order in a sentence, they need guidance or rules that can be useful to form sentences and ideas, so in my personal point of view, I believe that it is important to recognize this concepts but not to make them the subject that the lesson is going to be about.
