Unit 17 Equipment and Teaching Aids describes, in detail, all the typical types of equipment and teaching aids that can be used in the classroom. The information provided is useful but covers some equipment that is nearly obsolete. A teacher would be hard pressed to find an overhead (with foils) in a classroom, or conference room. Video/audio cassette players are equally unlikely. Technology has changed – use of laptops, iPads, cell phones, etc., should be covered in more detail. Lastly, if questions 8, and 10 of the unit test survive a technology review, they should be rewritten as the answers are ambiguous.
