I really liked how in-depth this lesson goes in explaining how a non-native English speaker can encounter issues with English pronunciation, spelling, etc. As native speakers, the idiosyncrasies of the language are often ignored or forgotten because we learn those "exceptions" as small children and do not need to analyze them as we continue gaining comprehension. This was also the first time I have ever really studied the phonemic alphabet, and I think it's going to be a really good tool to use.
