In this unit, theories, methods, and techniques for teaching were gone over. There are many different types of learning styles- just as there are many diverse teaching styles. I was introduced to these, and noticed some of my favorite styles from a learner's standpoint that I had experienced with past professors. The unit went over important 'musts' when teaching- these were things like making sure the students are speaking as much English as possible, there is low stress and anxiety, when to provide correction, and where to talk or not. I also learned the different ways to provide ESA lessons (whether those were straight arrow, boomerang, or patchwork).
