Understanding and explaining the tense system to English learners can be challenging. EFL teachers must of course understand this system themselves before they can begin to explain it to others. In this unit, I learned about the present simple, present perfect, present continuous, as well as how to use them in question and negative form. I hope to use this knowledge in a potentially tricky area to help my students with their understanding of the different tenses of the English language.
