As an ESL teacher, it is thought-provoking to watch another teacher teach a correct lesson and an incorrect lesson. Sometimes it is helpful to see how we teach or how someone else teaches to see what kind of mistakes a teacher makes and to perform in a more effective way. When I was watching the first video, I was pointing out and writing down all the mistakes that the first teacher was making. I was thinking to myself do I do that? I hope I don't do that while watching the video. When the second teacher was teaching, I was thinking about if I do that, or how I could incorporate an activity like that into my lessons. It was really great to see the two different teachers because now I can think about my own teaching and make sure that I am doing the best that I can do help my students learn in the most effective way.
