The future tenses is a very difficult aspect of English grammar. There is a lot of things that the teacher and learners need to bear in mind or else it may cause a confusion to the students. In this unit, I learned that the future simple is used to express promises, predictions, future facts, threats, etc. Example;
It will rain tomorrow.
The meeting starts at noon.
The future continuous is used to expresses future actions in progress for example;
They will be waiting for you.
While the future perfect is used to express actions that will be finished at some point and
actions that will be finished before another future event for example;
By the time you arrive, we will have eaten lunch.
They will have lived in their new home for 1 year this summer.
and the future perfect continuous is used to expresses ongoing actions that will be completed at the specific future time e.g;
In August, I will have been working as a manager for 10 years.
