This unit was concerned with the most common problems a teacher could face. The importance of first lessons were discussed, and ideas given on how to best establish rapport and find out about the students. Warmers were listed, and their role in a lesson mentioned. How to teach different levels and large classes were elaborated on, and ways to deal with it were given. The use of students' native language was discussed, and how to best encourage English use in the classroom. The ways to help reluctant students were listed here. The importance of listening exercises was stressed. It is best to keep extra activities nearby, to keep students busy if they finish the work too quickly.
