This unit is useful because it highlights when and how the present tense of grammar is used, pointing out common mistakes to expect from learners. Many uses are commonly misunderstood hence it may be difficult for learners who do not speak the language to form sentences for conservation. These rules give the learner a clear understanding of how to contract some words and the correct forms of words used in sentences. This unit taught me that English is much more complex than I realized because of the numerous aspects of tenses. Most students would have difficulty speaking or writing well if these aspects are not understood.
