I appreciated in this lesson how it says that a vocabulary's difficulty to learn will be dependent on how similar the English language is to the learner's own language. Also, the difficulty level is dependent upon how similiar the English words the learner already knows. Again, I never thought about these impeding or helping a student learn language. This is definitely something to consider when teaching learners of other languages. I like how the units seem to stress over and over for interaction between the learners in the classroom, that they learn from each other.
