This unit covers what type of tests are used when a non English speaking students starts their studies in an English speaking school. They range from placement tests to see what level would you best fit in to progress tests and finally external exams to get higher certificate and knowledge of the English language. These are also some of the certificates you might have to take in order to get a job or be a student abroad. Ive learned that progress tests are important to keep track of your students rather than just giving them one or two formal tests because those are more about memorizing the material than actually understanding and using it.
