Unit 12 covers the two productive skills - writing and speaking. In regards to speaking, there is a difference between accuracy and fluency and both can be developed in different ways. That's very helpful to know. In regards to writing, interestingly, penmanship is the least important. It amazed me one time to have a student's parent make this the biggest deal. Truly, we should emphasize proper output in regards to writing prior to empahzing penmanship.
