When in the classroom, a teacher should be respectable by showing up on time, and being kind and patient with their students. In return, the teacher will become respected. A good teacher will explain lessons concisely, allowing any questions be answered and further explained but also set time aside for group activities where the teacher can participate as a peer, to allow group communication skills and interaction. There are different levels of language and it's important to acknowledge them within the classroom so the students can be grouped accurately in order for greater fulfillment and learning capabilities. Some classroom may be more chaotic with younger learners who will present more behavioral and disciplinary problems due to age and misunderstanding, and others will have adults that are usually there to learn English to help them pursue a career path, and communicate with foreigners, partners, and colleagues. These classes will have more anxiety about success and the teacher must have a gentle and encouraging approach to build the confidence for success.
