This unit focused on the appropriate teaching method that TEFL uses and its origins. I have learned that ESA is an effective teaching method as if aims to thoroughly engage and guide students in and through the learning process. I have also learned that it is important that in the beginning (and throughout the class) that interest and enthusiasm is sparked within students about learning English so they can immerse themselves into the learning. Which is the reason why every class should not simply follow the straight arrow lesson (E-S-A) but rather the teacher should mix it up so that classes don't become predictable (by using Boomerang and Patchwork lessons).
