Having read this unit, now it is more understandable why most of the teachers avoid this topic on their lessons. It is quite hard for non-native English teachers to explain all aspects of phonology, and for students it will be very complicated to remember the terms related to phonology. However all the teachers should be aware of the correct word pronunciation as they would need to be a role model for students
