TEACHING PRODUCTIVE SKILLS

• Accuracy activities (study phase) are concentrated on producing correct language

Techniques to encourage interaction:
• Pair work
• Group work
• Plenty of controlled and guided practice before fluency activities

• In some activities give students time to think
Writing skills
• Hand writing is personal issue. But if it is poor – teacher should encourage student to improve it
• Spelling is important to avoid misunderstanding
• Layout and punctuation
• Creative writing – typical task may include poetry, stories, plays
Types of games:
• Competitive – players or teams race to be the first
• Co-operative – players or teams work together towards a common goal
