This unit is essential when learning how to teach English effectively. It enables teachers to expand how students can express themselves in English. Similar to the present tenses unit it offers explanations on the various forms as well as exceptions to some of the rules. Understanding this unit will allow me to teach more advanced concepts to students. I have learned or rather reviewed, the past tense forms and rules to give myself a stronger foundation to teach students. Often times unless the actual rule for tenses is reviewed, it may be more difficult for students to progress when learning English as a second language.
