This unit had a common sense simplicity to it that contributed to being able to understand and grasp. There is a lot of value in the unit's approach to selecting vocabulary by simply remembering my own personal language studies and seeing what words were the easiest to pick up and learn. Long-term retention of vocabulary relies on practice and use. Focusing on the same things in the classroom that a student is likely to use out in the world and in conversation will help facilitate their language learning.
