Unit #10 provided video examples of a poor English lesson and an effective one. These examples demonstrated serious failures in teaching to avoid and useful attitudes and methods to implement. Through these video lesson I learned that while teachers should not do their students' work for them and should elicit as much from them as they can, they should still be friendly, encouraging and helpful so that their students will feel free to participate. It is also important for a teacher to have a strong knowledge of the subject they are teaching in order to effectively answer their students' questions.
