Unit three gave great insight into teaching methodologies that are effective and creative, highlighting the very importance of using a variety of methods to maintain an engaged group and avoid losing interest. The ESA method is highly effective and I can only wish that I had been fortunate enough to have an instructor teach foreign languages to me using this method with the variety and various styles of activities. I truly believe that this method is better because most students who fail language classes, or even pass with flying colors report that they cannot speak at all because the focus was primarily on grammar only.
