This unit explored how to manage classes effectively. This ranged from maintaining discipline (where it is better to opt for non-verbal cues first, before verbal reprimand, which should be done in private), to classroom arrangement. I have learned that there are many ways a teacher can effectively manage a class and that they don't necessarily have to be extroverted and overtly outgoing. The most crucial thing is that they treat students the same, give all students the opportunity to contemplate your question before you choose someone (by name) to answer, and inspire confidence in students.
