This lesson taught me ways to classify teaching styles/methods, learners, and English levels. It also prompted me to be more self-reflective when I am teaching in any classroom, with a specific eye toward teaching in classrooms in cultures outside of my own. It made me consider ways in which I can be more effective as a teacher, such as limiting my participation in order to more deftly monitor students, and to consider the level to which I am becoming absorbed in the subject as opposed to being fully committed to my students.
