This unit is a continuing for the previous unit, and this time is about teaching productive skills which are speaking and writing, first the unit starts by giving reasons for communication and showing the difference between accuracy and fluency and show that they are both equally important as the previous ones, also the unit gives some ideas about speaking activities and how to encourage students to talk, a typical speaking activity, guideline for the activity. Later on, the unit covers the writing skill showing the importance of handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation and a typical creative writing activity lesson. At the end, there is an introduction of some games and how they are important for lessons.
In this unit, I learnt how ESA methodology here again can be applied for both speaking and writing skills, knowing that these particular skills are not that easy for students and maybe challenging. I learnt also that there are some points to consider while having speaking or writing lesson for example layout and punctuation which are extremely important also I learnt what fluency and accuracy are and how they should be used and when in all ESA stages.
