In Unit Six - Past tenses, I learned the definitions of past simple, past continuous, past perfect and the past perfect continuous. I now understand how to structure them correctly in both affirmative and negative forms e.g I wanted a chocolate cake/ I didn't want a chocolate cake. The unit offered several activities for teaching each tense in a dynamic way e.g. for past simple, an interview role play would be appropriate, and for past continuous, a detective game of “Where were you yesterday at 7 pm?” would be fun.
