This unit covered the topic of teaching techniques. Each common technique it presented was accompanied by a description of its essential objectives. Once it had defined the different existing techniques it outlined the TEFL approved Engage, Study & Activate (ESA) technique, giving a clear break-down of the three main aspects of this technique. I really appreciated the use of examples through-out this unit as it made the lesson all the more easier to understand and apply. Having completed this unit I do agree that the ESA technique is aptly suited to the trainee teacher or new teacher and am looking forward to putting it into practice for myself.
