It is interesting to know that many EFL methodologies were employed to help students to learn English and the advantages and disadvantages between those methodologies and the situations those methodologies were most suitable for. Obviously, Unit 3 focused on the Engage, Study and Activate methodology (ESA) because it is the most effective method that incorporates the factors from the other methodologies but still give the teacher flexibility on the teaching process. I definitely appreciate the different examples and ideas provided in the different ESA phases to help the teacher and hopefully I can incorporate ESA in my practice in the future.
