When we teach grammar to elementary students in Korea, we basically teach the future simple, future continuous and future perfect. We do not extend to future perfect continuous and the present simple and present continuous. This unit has given me a good reflection on how I can set a frame to teach the tenses systematically and enabled me to be more organized when teaching the future tense. It also has given me a broad view on how students would make typical mistakes when using the future tense. It surely is important for the teacher to know the exact usages of each tenses so that it can be applied and well explained in class.
