In this unit, I learnt how to make conditional and reported speeches. A Conditional speech is a sentence containing if. We have various types of conditionals they are; zero conditional used to refer to actions that are irrefutable, first conditional used to talk about real situation in the future that is possible, second conditional used to communicated present or future unreal situations, third conditionals used to refer to a hypothetical past action and mixed conditional used to refer to a hypothetical past action and it's hypothetical present consequences. Reported speeches are sentences we make when we try to tell someone what another person said. What that person said is the direct speech and when we try to report it, it becomes a reported speech. When reporting a speech, present simple and present continuous tenses become past simple and past continuous tenses respectively, will, becomes would, past simple becomes past perfect and past perfect is unchanged in it's reported form. Also, today, becomes that day, yesterday becomes the day before and tomorrow becomes the next day.
