The ideas presented about boardwork were new to me, as I have often been in classes where the teacher wrote on the board and spoke at the same time. It never bothered me, but I can see that for a student learning a foreign language it could be frustrating not to be able to hear the word clearly, and not to be able to see the teacher's mouth as she speaks. I do like the idea of having a student write on the board, especially for young learners. I remember as a child we thought it was an honor to be called to the front to write; but I suppose it was because the teacher called on the stronger students. In the classes I've taught it's always been a challenge for me to balance my focus on either the strongest or the weakest students. Being inclusive of one group while helping the other is something that I have to work on.
