The unit covers the present tenses for verbs, including when to use each, how to form the verbs, what errors to expect from students, and suggestions for activating/practicing each use. The present tense has four verb usages - present simple (he learns), present continuous (he is learning), present perfect (he has learned), and present perfect continuous (he has been learning). The practice suggestions are helpful for students but also to remind the teacher of the correct usage situations - for example, giving directions on a map uses the present simple, while a guessing game like "have you moved the chair?" practices the present perfect.
