This unit has taught me better and easier ways to explain different parts of speech to learners who have little or no understanding of English. It has allowed me to see how sentences are structured correctly and how confusing it can be for someone who is not fluent in English. It has given me ideas on how I would explain the different parts of speech to learners. I now understand the important function of each word in a sentence and how they can vary according to the specific context in which the sentence is constructed.
