In these two contrasting lesson videos, one can see the impact that the teacher's attitude can have on students. The first lesson was an example of what happens when a teacher approaches a lesson with excessive correction and little explanation of concepts/activities. In this lesson, the students were visibly confused and were less willing to participate and learn since the teacher would immediately shoot down any wrong answer. In the second lesson, the teacher took time to learn names, did not excessively correct, and was clear in explaining concepts/activities. As a result, the students were much more excited and willing to participate, and they got meaningful target language practice. The second lesson was a prime example of the good results that can come out of a genuine, kind investment in student learning.
