I think phrasal verbs are one of the hardest concepts for language learners. It is just difficult for them to get used to speaking with phrasal verbs because many times it could be also separatable. Unless listening to phrasal verbs and practice into daily conversation, it would be very challenging for language learners. Also, another reason that is difficult for ESL students as they tend to be very literal and phrasal verbs make a new word and meaning instead of being literal. For example, when ESL students heard about a phrasal verb such as, 'head out', 'check out', they do know really understand what it really means. Check out also has more than one meanings that something needs to be checked out or used for a payment. This will be my challenge that I also need to work on. Thank you for the lesson!
