The video provided in this unit clearly demonstrate the role of the teacher and their influence on the learning environment. The two videos showed student at the same level of English comprehension and understanding. The only changing variable was the attitude and teaching technique of the teacher. The first video showed the ways in which ineffective teaching strategies can stunt student learning by creating a confusing and intimidating learning environment. On the other hand, the second video demonstrated the power and instructer has to increase student learning by creating a engaging learning environment through the engage, study, and activate method. All in alll, the videos showed the true power of this method and it’s effectiveness with the classroom dynamic.
