its kind of easy now to understand past tenses after the previous study of present tenses. past simple is always easier and then i think past continuous because it is often used, most students have problem with past perfect and past perfect continuous. the unit made it look more simple and straight forward, can easily understand these tenses with the structures and examples given under each forms of past tense.
