It's difficult to describe the nuanced differences between the past tenses. It was nice to be asked questions about the tenses in various ways - choose a sentence, choose a tense, describe the tense, irregularities of the tenses. This will be difficult to get proper when describing to students without some definite formulas written out and then build complexity. I will be reviewing this material again before beginning as teacher.
