There are some great options for how to make a lesson more interesting and enjoyable to the students. Being in a modern world as we are, using audo or video based aids would certainly help to keep the students attention. Some good audio files to play could include old radio shows and ask the students about the content of the story being told. Having the students go out and interview English speaking people they meet is a common method these days, and is a great way to practise their English and get comfortable with holding a conversation.
