This unit goes over the types of tests and the differences between them. Evaluation and testing are very important because it lets students and teachers know what areas they need to work on. Placement tests are designed to place students into correct groups based on their level, progress tests are used periodically to see what has been remembered or forgotten, diagnostic tests are similar to placement tests but can be more extensive, and practice tests are used to prepare students for external exams. There are many external exams and each has their own purpose. I have learned a lot about the importance of exams and how to use them with my students.
