In this lesson I reviewed the many forms of present tense. This lesson focused on the present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. Present tense takes many forms and is conjugated differently depending on the number of subjects and the time the action happens. simple present is used for facts, instruction, habitual actions, and commentaries; however, if the action is still happening or something is changing the present continuous is used. Furthermore, present perfect is another present tense form that is sued to talk about actions that happened during an indefinite time period or to talk about something that started in the past and is still affecting the present. In addition, the present perfect continuous is used to describe an incomplete or ongoing activity. The time the action starts and its effect to the present determine the verb form.
