This unit focuses on the two receptive skills - reading and listening. I learned the two types of reading/listening - for a purpose and for entertainment. I learned the five different ways we read, and the challenges presented for non-Native speakers, giving the example of context using football teams. I also learned about the challenges in teaching language, that arise with reading and listening, and different activities to motivate students and provide appropriate learning and teaching opportunities (worksheet examples)
